Quick answer

On a computer, open Google Maps, choose the main menu, then selectYour contributions and Reviews. In the Google Maps app, open your profile and view your contributions or Maps profile.

How to find reviews you wrote on Google

Google Maps reviews are attached to the Google account that submitted them. If a review seems to be missing, confirm that you are signed into the same account you used when posting it.

On a desktop or laptop

  1. Open Google Maps.
  2. Sign into the correct Google account.
  3. Open the main menu.
  4. Select Your contributions.
  5. Select the Reviews tab.

Google’s current help documentation uses this same route for finding, sharing, editing, and deleting reviews you posted.

In the Google Maps mobile app

  1. Open Google Maps and confirm the account shown in your profile icon.
  2. Open your Maps profile or the Contribute area.
  3. Navigate to your contributions and reviews.
  4. Select a review to view its text, rating, photos, or available actions.

Google changes mobile navigation labels from time to time. If you do not see “Your contributions,” look for Your profile or Contribute.

How to leave a Google review

Sign into Google Maps, search for the place you genuinely visited, open its place details, and select Write a review. Choose the rating that reflects your experience, add your own explanation or media if useful, review what will be public, and publish.

Google reviews are voluntary and public. Write from your own experience, avoid personal or confidential information, and do not accept a payment, discount, free item, or other benefit in exchange for posting, changing, or removing a review.

A business may give you a direct Google review link or QR code. That link should take you to the correct business or location, but the rating and wording remain entirely your choice.

How to edit or delete a Google review you wrote

A business cannot edit a customer’s review. Only the Google account that submitted the review can edit or delete it.

  1. Return to Your contributions → Reviews.
  2. Find the review.
  3. Open the three-dot menu next to it.
  4. Choose Edit review or Delete review.
  5. Follow the confirmation prompts.

Google notes that editing a review updates the date displayed with the review. You can also change the rating or included media when editing.

How to check reviews customers left for your business

Business owners use their Google Business Profile rather than the personal contributions screen. The profile must be verified before an authorized user can reply as the business.

  1. Sign into the Google account that has authorized profile access.
  2. Open the Business Profile in Google Search or Maps.
  3. Select Read reviews.
  4. Choose Reply beside a review when a response is appropriate.

Replies are public. Keep them concise, professional, and free of private customer information. For a complaint, acknowledge the concern and invite the reviewer to continue through an appropriate private support channel.

Why a Google review may be missing

A review may not appear where expected for several different reasons:

  • You are signed into a different Google account.
  • The review is still being processed or moderated.
  • The reviewer edited or deleted it.
  • Google removed it after a policy or spam evaluation.
  • You are looking at a different business location or duplicate profile.

Avoid promising that a missing review will return. Google controls its moderation systems and may remove content that violates its user-generated content policies.

Privacy and policy reminders

Google Maps reviews are public and cannot be anonymous. A reviewer’s public profile name and other Maps contributions may be visible. Review text and photos should avoid personal, confidential, or sensitive information.

Businesses can invite customers to leave honest reviews, but they should not screen people by sentiment, require a positive rating, or offer an incentive for a particular review outcome.
